Update: OSHA ETS Mandate Date Set For Jan 4!
Last Updated on November 11, 2021
Workers at larger businesses will have to get vaccinated against COVID-19 by Jan. 4, 2022, or face regular testing under new federal rules being released Thursday.
Additional information is being gathered, including whether workers who choose the testing option may have to bear the cost.
The ETS was published publicly on November 5, 2021, and went into effect immediately. Employers must comply with most requirements within 30 days of publication and with certain testing requirements within 60 days of publication.
The ETS also serves as a proposed rule for a permanent standard. OSHA has initiated a 30-day public comment period and is inviting comments on any aspect of the ETS and how to proceed with the
rulemaking.
